Tiger Brands appoints Thabani Msomi as acting MD

Tiger Brands has officially announced the appointment of Thabani Msomi as the Acting Managing Director of Home, Personal Care and Baby.
The company made this announcement on via its official LinkedIn page. The post stated, “Tiger Brands is pleased to announce that Thabani Msomi will be the Acting Managing Director: Home, Personal Care and Baby.”
“He has extensive experience across various roles in multinational organisations and has delivered several key projects at Tiger including initiatives to drive ecommerce growth. Thabani is a passionate leader, involved in coaching and mentoring. Please join us in congratulating Thabani and wishing him success in his new role.”
In 2022, Thabani joined Tiger Brands as the Customer Strategy and Capability Director and became in June 2023, he became the Customer Director, Snacks, Treats, and Beverages.
Prior to his time at Tiger Brands, he was the Managing Director at Energizer Holding Inc., Johannesburg Area, South Africa. He also served as the Country Sales Director and Head of the South African organization for Energizer. He led a multi functional team reporting to the Business Director for UK, SA & Nordics. Thabani also served at Unilever, Durban Area, South Africa as the Customer Director where he Mentored people, managed projects, cross-functional and developed strong sales strategy.
Thabani is a Sales Director with experience fully demonstrated in the history of working in the consumer goods industry. He is Skilled in Marketing Management, Negotiation, Business Planning, Customer Marketing, and Consumer Products. He is a strong business development professional with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) focused in Economics & Taxation from University of KwaZulu-Natal.
