The Coca-Cola Company marks 100 years of going public
Coca-Cola, the renowned global beverage company, is currently celebrating the 100th anniversary of its initial public offering.
To mark the significant milestone, James Quincey, the global CEO of the company led senior executives and board members of TCCC to the New York Stock Exchange on recently and rang the opening bell to commemorate the centennial celebration.
Speaking on the milestone, an exultant Quincey said: “Not many brands make it this far and not many have been able to grow at the speed that we have. It is a testament to the work that goes on behind the scenes and also thanks to our loyal consumers and investors across the world. It’s a big day for us and it’s a good time to look optimistically into the future.”
It would be recalled that despite its humble beginnings, Coca-Cola now has a strong presence in over 200 countries (Nigeria inclusive) with both the company and its brands driving economic growth across markets, thus making it one of the most recognised brands across the globe.
