Publicis Groupe appoints Lalatendu Das as CEO Publicis Media South Asia

Publicis Groupe South Asia has promoted Lalatendu Das (LD), CEO of Performics India, to the newly established position of CEO for Publicis Media South Asia.
In this role, LD will continue to report to Anupriya Acharya, CEO of Publicis Groupe South Asia, and collaborate closely with Jai Lala, CEO of Zenith India; Rathi Gangappa, CEO of Starcom India; Sejal Shah, MD of PMX India; along with other media executives.
Das became part of Publicis Groupe India in early 2022 as the CEO of Performics India, where he expanded the client portfolio over the past three years.
Prior to this, he spent nearly ten years with McKinsey, serving as a Partner and co-founding member of McKinsey Digital Labs in the Asia-Pacific region. There, he co-led the Digital/Technology practice, focusing on creating new digital ventures, transforming customer experiences, and leveraging advanced analytics. He also held operational roles at Tata Consultancy Services for over ten years. With an engineering background and a postgraduate degree in Business Management from IIM Ahmedabad, LD brings 25 years of professional experience.

Separately, Tanmay Mohanty, the South Asia CEO of Publicis Media Services, is departing to explore new opportunities. He was responsible for managing the media operations of both Zenith India and Starcom India, along with overseeing the Media Product & Solutions Portfolio.

During his tenure with us, our media services and capabilities have not only scaled up tremendously with some of our biggest clients, but they have become the best offerings in the market.
