OAAN 2021 AGM hosts Josef Bel-Molokwu as keynote speaker

Following the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria’s (OAAN) 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM), slated for Friday, 25 June in Abeokuta, Ogun State, the sectoral body has announced the AGM Keynote Speaker as Dr. Josef Bel-Molokwu. The theme for the AGM is “Corporate Governance & Business Continuity Amidst Security & Economic Threats”.
Speaking on the AGM, Publicity Secretary of OAAN, Mr. Babatunde Oyekan said: “I see the AGM as interesting with rich content from the keynote speaker and also Ogun State government is partnering with this year AGM by supporting us so much.”
He added: “Ogun State government is interested in the growth of our sector with playing by the rules and engaging accordingly.
“The governor is a technocrat and he knows what it entails to set up a business in our difficult terrain. In his wisdom he has put round pegs in round holes to ensure that the business of Out-of-Home runs smoothly without hitches in Ogun State. So I see the AGM as homecoming backed by a very warm and humane governor,” he stated.
Dr. Josef Bel-Molokwu is currently Senior Fellow at the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, and Chairman/Lead Consultant of SefPatri Services (Inc.).
He is also Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the ESUT Business School Master’s Degree Programmes as well as Master’s Degree Course Developer/Writer/Editor/Project Moderator for the National Open University of Nigeria. He has served as External Examiner for PhD (Advertising) for the University of Ibadan and as leader of Accreditation and project defence teams for the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
The author/co-editor/editor of four books on Business Communication and Advertising, and co-author or contributor of five others, he has more than 80 seminar/workshop presentations to his credit. Dr. Bel-Molokwu was Editor/Editor-in-Chief/Editorial Adviser/CEO of the Star Printing and Publishing Co. Ltd. 1974 – 1980 & 1984 – 1986; Managing Editor/CEO, Ivory Trumpet Publishing Co. Ltd. 1980 – 1983; pioneer Managing Director, Anambra Newspapers and Printing Co. Ltd. 1993 – 1994, and Registrar/Chief Executive (Director General) of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) form 1994 to 2005.
He is a Fellow of Intercontinental Communication, Management Consultancy and Advertising; Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, and member of the Board of Trustees of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism.
