Nsarkoh speaks at MARKETING EDGE’s Quarterly Virtual Summit
Yaw Nsarkoh, former Executive Vice President, Unilever Ghana and Nigeria, and Independent Marketer, is billed to speak at MARKETING EDGE’s first Quarterly Virtual Summit, an industry wide conference designed to impact the Nigerian and African marketing and business community positively.
The summit is slated for Wednesday, 29 March, 2023, via Zoom, and will be held between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Mr. Nsarkoh, who has broad experience having served on enviable executive and management positions in Unilever in Africa, Asia and Europe, will be speaking on the Topic: “Avoiding The New Marketing Myopia – Returning Marketing To Its Noble Roots.”
Sitting as the Chairman of the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) board for Unilever Africa and representing Africa on the Unilever Global D&I board, Mr. Nsarkoh has extensive experience, spanning over 29 years with Unilever, in leadership and managing market conditions at strategic levels across developing and developed economies.
His areas of expertise include Business Development, Strategic Leadership, Marketing and Branding, Corporate Governance and Organisational Strategy and Leadership. He is currently an Executive Vice President of Unilever based in the UK. He was the former Executive Vice President of Unilever Ghana and Nigeria. Prior to this, he served as the Managing Director for Unilever Nigeria and Managing Director, Unilever, East and Southern Africa, based in Kenya from 2010 to 2013. He is also on the Board as a non-executive director of the board of the Development Bank of Ghana.
Yaw has played several strategic roles on Boards in Ghana and across Africa. Key amongst these roles are; Executive Board Member, Unilever Ghana, Council Member, Trade/Employee Associations and Strategic Private Sector Committees, Nigeria. He was previously Director, Kenya Association of Manufacturers, Chairman, East African Shippers Council and Director, Changing Lives Endowment Fund (CLEF), Ghana.
Yaw holds a postgraduate Diploma in Management from Henley Management College, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.
The marketing Czar is at a reflection point of his journey as he looks forward to a stage where he will be in the process of transitioning from a long career in executive roles all over the world with Unilever, to a phase where he will be focused on a portfolio of non-executive roles.
