Multichoice begins auditions for Nigerian Idol season 6, announces grand prize
Africa’s leading entertainment company, Multichoice, has declared auditions for the sixth edition of the Nigerian Idol reality show open, with a recording contract + ₦50million worth of prizes up for the win.
The broadcasting company made the announcement in a statement which reads in part: “Nigerian Idols auditions are open! This could be your moment to make your wildest dreams come true, so we want to make sure that your moment is perfect and that you get that Golden Ticket!”
To participate, aspiring contestants are required to record a 30 second video of themselves singing any of their favourite songs and upload to the stipulated website; contestants must be between the ages of 16-30. Auditions open on the 29th November 2020 and close on the 13th December 2020.
“We can’t wait to be blown away by your stunning voices as you enter the biggest season of Nigerian Idol. Keep it locked on our social media platforms Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the latest details,” the company announced.
Nigerian Idol is the local version of the Idol series franchise. Launched in Nigeria in 2010, the reality music talent show has produced industry personalities like Timi Dakolo, Omawunmi, Mercy Chinwo, amongst others.
