Max International opens Nigerian operations
American-based company, Max International, an industry leader in the production of wellness and weight-loss supplements and products, officially launched its operations in Nigeria with two its products, namely: Cellgevity and MAX ATP. The formal launch was held between October 22, 2016 at 10 Degrees Event Centre, Oregun, Lagos.
The three-day event which began on October 20, had a Medical and Scientific Symposium as well as Businesses Opportunity Meeting.
According to General Manager Max International Nigeria, Pharm. ACP Augustine Kokukokor, the coming of Max International into Nigeria heralds a new dimension in the industry and raises the bar in the distribution of health-related products across the length and breadth of the country. He said he was optimistic that Max would be a huge success irrespective of the recession being experienced in the country today.
Kokukokor said the company had made sales of its products to the tune of $100, 000 within a few months in the country and this, he said, makes him believe that the current recession in Nigeria today, would soon be a thing of the past. He said aside the fact that Max’s products are sellable, his confidence also stems from the experience of his native Ghana overcoming her own recession, which she experienced some time ago. He thus concludes that, with Nigeria, it is just a passing phase.
“Though there are challenges obtaining Forex exchange at affordable rates and the problem of recession currently being experienced in Nigeria, we believe that there is hope for Nigeria and that this business will thrive in this country. Within the first three months of sales, we were able to make $100, 000. This is very encouraging especially considering the present situation of things. We believe there is hope for Nigeria in the sense that, the IMF predicts a 1.7 per cent economic growth for Nigeria by 2017.
“Nigeria has also received support from China, AfDB and other institutions of repute. These are pointers that there is yet hope and that it is not all gloom and doom. Our goals are to be number one in medical nutrition supplement in the country in two years; we are also looking at a year-on-year average growth of 35 per cent in our first five years of operation. We will also be forming a Nigeria advisory council which will assist me in delivering on the mandate of the company,” he said.
On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of Max International, Mr. Joseph Voyticky said: “Max is dedicated to improving everyday lives. This commitment can be seen in everything we do, from our products to the charity events we organize around the world. This isn’t some newfound mission; it’s been our focus from the outset. Our aim is to offer life transformation business and enhance peoples’ lives with better health and greater wealth. We believe investing in Nigeria is a wise choice,” he said.
The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the products by Atlanta ’96 Olympic Gold Medalist, Mrs. Chioma Ajunwa-Oparah. The Advisory Council which was set up include: Dr. James Osolu, Dinnah Kajo, Steve Imoni, Moses Okole, Loretta Onwughalu, Dr. Victor and Sylvia Okoro, and Loliya Koko.
According to the company’s CEO, Joe Voyticky, Max International aims to empower people around the world to experience better health, success and significance. The company also offers more passion, inspiration, stability and community.
“At Max International, people can make more than money. We provide three primary benefits – a chance to improve health, enhance your wealth and achieve more through personal development “, he said.
Besides Max’s excellent products, two trends that make the company a good investment business according to the CEO are the health and wellness trend that many people are following and the consumer need for network marketing businesses.
“This need is illustrated by the inadequacies in public health care. Currently, a growing aging population, the rise of chronic illnesses, and massive budget problems are plaguing public health care systems. Prevention of these problems is just as important as treatment, and Max offers products that may help people live better, healthier lives,” he said.
In 2014, Max International opened its African operations by launching in Ghana.
Some of the company’s product include Max One, Max N Fuze, Cellgevity, MaxGXL among others, which have the potency of improving mental clarity and focus, removing harmful toxics in the body, strengthening the immune system, providing critical antioxidants to protect the cells, and help the body function at optimal levels by providing essential vitamins and minerals.
