London International Awards announces the 2024 jurors from Africa
This year four top creatives will be representing Africa at LIA’s 39th Annual Judging in Las Vegas.
London International Awards onsite judging at Encore @ Wynn, Las Vegas commences on 29th September and concludes on 7th October 2024.
Work from Africa goes beyond promoting a product. There is a rich tapestry of ideas and stories that make up this melting pot of cultures.
Barbara Levy, President of LIA, said, “We are pleased to welcome three judges from South Africa and one juror from Kenya this year. We know they will bring a new perspective into the judging rooms from a multi-cultural point-of-view.”
JURORS FROM AFRICA
KENYA:
Waithera Kabiru, Digital Hub Lead (Africa), Diageo, Nairobi will judge Creativity in B2B
SOUTH AFRICA:
Xolisa Dyeshana, Chief Creative Officer, Joe Public, Johannesburg will judge Ambient & Activation, Billboard, Poster and Print
Thabang Lehobye, Head of Design, FCB Africa, Johannesburg will judge Design and Package Design
Lubabalo Mtati, Creative Director M&C Saatchi Abel, Cape Town will judge Pharma and Medical
All rounds of judging are done onsite at the Encore @ Wynn Hotel. Every judge is required to see every piece of work in their respective categories. These panels decide on the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Statue Winners, as well as the Finalists. Each panel, at their discretion, also decides on whether a Grand LIA will be awarded.
As there is no off-site pre-judging, all judges are fully involved from the beginning to the end, so everyone is privy to the final results before they are published.
LIA is just one of five global shows that is included in the WARC Creative 100.
