LIA announces new competitions, extends 25% entry discount window
London International Awards (LIA) has announced two new competitions and a new category for the 2021 Awards.
The new competitions are: Transformative Business Impact and the Creative Use of Data.
Transformative Business Impact competition recognizes that creativity does not just live within campaigns, it now plays an influential role in the enduring transformation of businesses including their operations, services, products, internal experiences and customer experiences. This medium doesn’t just recognize work that promotes solutions to customers; it recognizes the solutions themselves.
On the other hand, the Creative Use of Data competition recognizes entries that demonstrate the fundamental role of data in inspiring, powering and enhancing creative work.
The new category, Remote Production is a category in Production and Post Production. This category recognizes the efforts made by Brands, Agencies, Production Companies, Consultancies, etc. to facilitate filming in a new way – remotely. Work will be evaluated for the production value and the overall execution taking into consideration the limits that social distancing, travel restrictions and other factors imposed to assure that safety precautions were met during the worldwide pandemic lock-downs.
In addition, the LIA has again extended the 25% discount window for entries for the 2021 awards to May 31.
LIA announced: “Entries finalized by 31st May will be discounted 25% off the standard entry fee.
LIA does not charge late fees. Ever.”
It would be recalled that the deadline for the discount was originally 1 April 2021; then later April 30, and now May 31. According to LIA, the decision to extend was made due to unprecedented demand and the need to cushion the effect of the present global economic realities.
To be eligible for the LIA 2021 competitions, all work must be broadcast, published or released from 1st Sept. 2019 thru 8th Aug, 2021.
As most work is a joint effort, LIA allows any company or individual to enter work they have collaborated on. Judging will take place remotely in October.
