Discovering where to go, what to experience and which offers are available is the proposition behind iXplore, a lifestyle discovery platform unveiled by IXPL Limited to connect consumers with venues, activities, events, discounts and membership benefits while helping businesses attract customers. Launched at Radisson, Ikeja, Lagos, the platform represents part of IXPL’s wider ambition to develop practical technology solutions for individuals, businesses and public institutions.

IXPL Limited unveils iXplore to transform how consumers discover places, experiences

Speaking at the launch, Owolabi Mustapha, Director, IXPL Limited, said the company’s vision extends beyond developing applications to solving real-world problems, improving business performance, enriching consumer experiences and strengthening public service delivery.

IXPL Limited has simply  entered Nigeria’s technology market with a mission to turn everyday challenges into practical digital solutions, unveiling a business model that combines lifestyle discovery, customised enterprise technology and tools for the marketing communications industry

While businesses are adapting to emerging technologies, changing consumer expectations and intensifying competition, the IXPL Limited’s Director stressed that protecting market share was not the sole reason IXPL was established. Rather, the company aims to develop tailored solutions that address the distinct needs of consumers, organisations and government institutions.

He disclosed that IXPL had spent more than a year developing its capabilities, testing products and assembling its team. Its operations span three areas: proprietary platforms for everyday challenges, customised business-to-business solutions, and technology tools for the marketing communications industry, where the wider business has operated for almost two decades.

Distinguishing iXplore from conventional navigation applications, Mustapha explained that the platform prioritises lifestyle discovery and connectivity rather than simply directing users to destinations. He maintained that is designed to provide information about participating venues, activities, discounts, membership benefits and upcoming events, helping users make informed choices while giving businesses another channel to showcase their offerings and attract customers.

Expanding on this distinction during the question-and-answer session, Olayiwole Jegede, Director, IXPL Limited, said iXplore was not a directional application like Google Maps but a lifestyle and entertainment platform that informs users about what is happening at different venues before they decide where to go.

For example, Jegede explained that people planning a Friday night out with friends or colleagues could check the platform for activities and offerings at entertainment destinations before leaving home. By connecting customers with businesses and making relevant information easier to access, the company expects iXplore to simplify lifestyle planning and improve business visibility.

Addressing the platform’s expected impact and adoption, he said IXPL had drawn on its team’s experience across different sectors to identify specific challenges it could realistically address, rather than attempting to solve every problem in every industry. He added that the company would gather user feedback and continually refine its products to improve their usefulness.

Furthermore, he said iXplore would be free to users, with IXPL using relevant channels to encourage adoption and connect consumers with participating businesses. The company’s approach, he explained, is informed by practical experience and an understanding of existing problems, with the aim of delivering meaningful benefits in Nigeria and potentially beyond.

Beyond lifestyle and entertainment, Mustapha disclosed that IXPL was developing solutions for public health, environmental challenges and electricity-related problems. The company also intends to collaborate with government institutions on technology to improve public services, coordination and service delivery.

Under its business-to-business model, IXPL will work with local and multinational organisations to identify operational and commercial challenges and develop solutions suited to their requirements. These may cover marketing, sales, procurement, internal processes and customer engagement. Mustapha said the company would assess each client’s objectives and needs rather than impose a one-size-fits-all approach.

Similarly, its industry-specific tools will target advertising, experiential and digital businesses, helping them improve efficiency and competitiveness. Mustapha emphasised that the technology venture would complement, rather than replace, the group’s established marketing communications operations.

On its international ambitions, he said Nigeria would serve as iXplore’s launch market, with Johannesburg, Accra, London, Toronto and New York identified as prospective destinations. IXPL hopes to begin launching in these markets within six months.

During the discussions, Arayi Ayana Itseoyitseloju raised questions about IXPL’s transition from experiential marketing into technology and how the new direction would relate to its existing business. The company explained that the move was intended to create new opportunities for innovation in response to changing business conditions and consumer needs while retaining the foundations of its established operations.

Reinforcing the importance of practical solutions, IXPL said its development approach would consider local behaviour, infrastructure, affordability and accessibility, alongside technical requirements. Collaboration with businesses and public institutions would also help ensure that products address actual needs.

On product reliability and data security, Ayomide Akinola, Software Director and Developer Lead at IXPL Limited, said safeguards had been put in place to protect data and support valid transactions and interactions. He explained that the development process includes testing, gathering user feedback and continuously improving performance. The technical team, he added, would monitor reported issues, respond to complaints and provide updates as necessary.

Meanwhile, Omolayo Ajibola, ProductManager at IXPL Limited, thanked the media, guests, partners and team members for supporting the launch. She described the event as an opportunity to introduce the company’s vision of using technology to solve problems, simplify processes and improve experiences, adding that IXPL was prepared to continue developing solutions with practical benefits for users and businesses.

With iXplore as its flagship lifestyle platform and additional products in development for business, public health, environmental services and marketing communications, IXPL is seeking to build its technology portfolio around identifiable needs rather than technology adoption for its own sake. Its progress will depend on how effectively its solutions address real challenges, earn users’ trust and deliver tangible value across the markets it intends to serve.
