Interswitch commences internship training
Interswitch, the broad network and robust payments platform have been instrumental to the development of the Nigerian payments ecosystem and provide Interswitch with credibility to expand across Africa has commenced the Interswitch Academy to give fresh graduates and young professionals the workplace experience of their desire.
The latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative from the company has been in the works for a while but kept under wraps until it came to fruition.
Making the big announcement on their Linkedin handle, the payment company said: “Today, we officially welcomed the first cohort of the Interswitch Academy, an initiative we birthed as part of our continued efforts to support interns in Africa.
Designed for fresh graduates and professionals looking to transition into a new workplace, the internship programme is exclusive to individuals with no more than 3 years of experience.”
The quarterly programme is aimed at providing eligible youths with the workplace experience necessary to jumpstart the careers they desire.
In the first few weeks, interns will undergo knowledge-sharing and technical sessions to gain the skills necessary to become part of a larger team. Working on real-life projects to support the organisation, the programme provides interns with the opportunity to gain direct practical experience with Interswitch Group.
