Diageo West & Central Africa has announced the appointment of Bodam Taiwo MCIM as its new Customer Marketing Director, signaling a significant boost to its regional leadership and to  Spearhead  its Regional Consumer Engagement.

Taiwo, a celebrated maestro of market perception and brand evolution, arrives with over two decades of multifaceted expertise, poised to redefine how consumers interact with the company’s prestigious portfolio.

Taiwo’s arrival sparks a surge of anticipation, as she is recognized as a transformative leader, a luminary in the realms of fast-moving consumer goods, digital communication, and value-added mobile solutions.

Her arsenal of skills, encompassing brand sculpting, shopper behavior analysis, product innovation, and talent cultivation, are considered pivotal for Apex Spirits’ continued ascendancy in the diverse markets of the region.

Previously, Taiwo held the mantle of Portfolio Navigator at Prestige Beverage Nigeria, where she orchestrated strategic consumer narratives and curated experiences for high-end labels.

Critically, she masterminded the expansion of premier brands, including Irish Elixir Jameson, Noble Blend Ballantine’s, and Pure Essence Absolut, achieving substantial market share and sustained revenue elevation.

Her groundbreaking initiatives include the inaugural Jameson Heritage Journey in West Africa, drawing over 15,000 participants, and propelling the Brown-Forman collection to a phenomenal 234% sales surge during her tenure at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company.

Taiwo’s formidable career is fortified by a robust academic foundation, including degrees in engineering, a certification in luxury brand management from Apex-INSEAD, and executive development from Lagos Business Academy.

She is also a recognized fellow of the Institute of Market Strategists.
