Creativity Week names Lampe Omoyele 2020 FCLA Dean
Lampe Omoyele, a widely respected leader and mentor in the marketing and advertising industry in sub-Saharan Africa, has been named 2020 Dean by Creativity Week. The prestigious laurel is for its flagship Pitcher Festival programme, Future Creative Leaders Academy (FCLA).
FCLA is a 3-day residential programme for students and is currently open to university students across Africa. It serves as an early immersion of the students into the competitive world of advertising. The programme affords them the opportunity to work on briefs individually in their schools under the supervision of a lecturer and in teams after their arrival at the Pitcher Festival.
Omoyele is currently Managing Director at Nitro 121, one of West Africa’s leading marketing communication and brand management companies, and Partner, Lucent Consulting Company.
He has previously been Managing Director, Nielsen West Africa; Marketing Director, Cadbury East and Central Africa; Africa Marketing Director (Family Nutrition), GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare; Marketing Director, Airtel Nigeria; and Marketing Director at PZ Cussons.
Omoyele holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Biochemistry, and is an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School. He is a Fellow, National Institute of Marketing in Nigeria (NIMN); Trustee of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN); and Associate member, Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
He is a recipient of several awards, including the Marketing Society of Kenya’s Warrior Award for significant contribution to the development of marketing in Kenya in 2008; Chartered Marketer (UK) status in 2009; and NIMN’s Achievers award (2011).
In 2018, he was listed amongst the 100 most influential global marketing leaders’ by the World Marketing Congress.
