Beauty brand owner set to host first Lagos Beauty Summit
One of Nigeria’s most exciting beauty brands, Seddy Cosmetics is set to expand the horizon of the beauty industry in Nigeria, by organizing the country’s maiden beauty summit to support growth and development in the industry.
The event tagged Lagos Beauty Summit which is the brainchild of Sedi Temitope, CEO of Seddy Cosmetic is conceived to extend the frontiers of beauty sector and provide opportunity for global relevance for the indigenous operators who desire to tap into opportunities in other markets outside of Nigeria.
Over 250 beauty enthusiasts are expected to attend the event which is themed “The Power of More”. More so, more than 20 speakers including some of the top beauty brand owners in Nigeria have been pencilled down as speakers.
According to Temitope, the summit will be held at the prestigious Landmark Event Centre at Oniru Lagos between July 3 and 4, 2018. She added that more than ever before there is need for collaborations and partnerships among actors in the industry saying that is one of the reasons why the summit was conceive.
Speaking at the press conference which held in Lagos, Temitope who owns a chain of inspiring beauty brands including Seddy Makeover and Seddy Studio said, “the Lagos Beauty Summit is planned to bridge the exposure gap in the beauty industry in Nigeria by providing an opportunity for young beautician to connect with the international market and be inspired to improve their trade.
“The Lagos Beauty summit will promote the increased networking and partnership between different stakeholders in the beauty industry. It will create awareness about the opportunities and potentials in this multibillion naira industry.
“In this country people are not adequately rewarded for what they do, so we will be bringing the major stakeholders into the same venue to deliberate about issues that affect the industry and how to create growth opportunities for the sector as well as provide support system for young beauticians to grow their craft,” Temitope said.
Some of the summit highlights that participants can look forward to include, industry legend round table, tea time with beauty business moguls, trade show, award session and performance by top music stars.
