Austin Efienamokwu, former Airtel Media Manager, joins Vizeum Nigeria
Media Fuse Dentsu Aegis Network has deepened its leadership strength with the recent appointment of former Head of Media at Airtel Nigeria, Austin Efienamokwu, into its ranks.
Mr. Efienamokwu who resigned from Airtel Nigeria less than five months ago has been deployed as Media Director/Business Head for Vizeum Nigeria, marking his return to the agency side of the business in just about two years, after he quit Capital Media Limited to become Senior Media Manager at the GSM outfit.
A Quantity Surveying graduate from Yaba College of Technology and a MBA holder from Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, Efienamokwu is expected to reinforce the growth strategy of the agency which, in the last couple of years, has won a number of lucrative media businesses.
In his new role at Vizeum Nigeria, Efienamokwu, who is presently undertaken a Master Degree Programme at the University of Salford in the UK, will accelerate the agency’s rapid growth and drive the continued development of services and capabilities for the competitive Nigerian brands communications environment.
He brings on board to his new employment more than 10 years of hands-on experience in strategic media planning and implementation, media research and brand management for several multinational brands across various sectors.
Within the 10-year period Efienamokwu has rendered services in various capacities across several markets including Sierra Leone, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria and Central Africa region.
In a LinkedIn recommendation, Chief Analytics and Insights officer at Havas Media Group, Naman Sharma described Efienamokwu as an exceptional media professional who is very committed to his work.
Sharma commented that his ability to comprehend and respond to client requirements on all things media and communication was key to MediaReach OMD retaining the Guinness account and growing revenue by over 300% in two years. “I would recommend Austin as one of the best media professionals in West Africa,” he concluded.
