Adedamola Docemo finally takes over as MD of LASAA
Following his recent appointment by the Lagos Sate Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as new substantive head of the Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency, (LASAA), Prince Adedamola Adokunjo Docemo has finally taken over as the new Managing Director / CEO of the regulatory body.
His appointment and assumption of office puts paid to the doubts in outdoor advertising industry circles over the purported tenure extension for erstwhile boss of LASAA, Bolaji Sanusi whose appointment was terminated by the Governor following the expiration of his tenure, recently.
MARKETING EDGE reliably gathered that the Head of Service of Lagos State Government, Mr. Hakeem Muri- Okunola, upon the Governor’s approval issued a letter of appointment to Mr. Adedamola Adekunjo Docemo following the tenure expiration of the last helmsman and a period of rigorous search for an exceptional and competent professional to man the affairs of the agency.
It was further revealed that the choice of Mr. Docemo was predicated on the need to enhance service delivery, raise operational efficiency, ensure sustainability and to put merit and distinction above personal interest, which is in line with the belief and administrative policy of the Lagos State Governor.
Mr. Docemo holds a post- graduate qualification in Engineering and is a registered practitioner in advertising. He has to his credit many years of work experience as consultant to several agencies in the outdoor and signage industry in Nigeria.
In addition, he has good knowledge of the industry laced with international experience with Prismaflex International, a leading technological firm in billboard and signage manufacturing with headquarters based in Europe as well as with Watchfire signs within Danville, USA.
As the Managing Director of LASAA, Prince Docemo will no doubt enhance operational standards and create the enabling environment for billboard advertising business to experience a quantum leap in terms of investment in Lagos State and by extension Nigeria.
Additionally, as a distinguished member of Project Management Institute who possesses adequate understanding of the S.M.A.R.T programmes of Lagos State Government, the new LASAA boss is expected to bring his robust experience, unrivaled knowledge, innovative service as well as business integrity to impact positively on the good people of Lagos, State including other stakeholders.
Prince Adedamola Adekunjo Docemo is an accomplished professional with over 15 years of experience in outdoor advertising, media, telecommunications and engineering sectors.
Before his appointment, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Viadotech Limited, a leading player in the outdoor advertising sector, telecommunications and engineering sectors in Nigeria. Some of the organisations he has worked in include Bell and Bell Telecommunications Limited, Private Networks Nigeria Limited and Emotion Advertising Limited.
An alumnus of Yaba College of Technology Lagos and graduate of Mechanical Engineering with a Postgraduate Diploma from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Oyo State, Prince Adedamola Docemo is a member of the Project Management Institute and the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
He has added up to the privileged team of other technocrats who are working tirelessly under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to make Lagos State a better place for all through his recent appointment.
