Nestlé recorded 4.0 per cent organic sales growth in the third quarter of 2026. Impressively, this is driven by stronger demand across the Americas, petcare, coffee and food businesses, as the Swiss food and beverage giant reported sales of 22.76 billion Swiss francs, up from 21.64 billion francs a year earlier.

In its financial results released on October 22, the company attributed the growth to a 2.8 per cent increase in real internal growth and a 1.1 per cent contribution from pricing, exceeding analysts’ 3.4 per cent growth forecast.

Regionally, the Americas achieved 3.3 per cent organic growth, while Asia, Oceania and Africa led with 6.4 per cent. Again, Europe recorded 1.2 per cent growth, reflecting competitive pressures and the impact of an infant formula recall.

Aside these, across its portfolio, Petcare grew 5.3 per cent, while Food and Snacks advanced five per cent. Meanwhile, Nestlé Waters and Premium Beverages delivered 12.3 per cent growth, while Coffee rose 3.4 per cent. Nutrition, however, recorded modest growth of 0.3 per cent.

Chief Executive Officer Philipp Navratil, said improved execution had strengthened underlying demand, adding that the company remained focused on sustainable growth, operational discipline and investment in competitive businesses.

In other words, Nestlé continued restructuring its portfolio, agreeing in September to sell its mainstream vitamins, minerals and supplements business to Yellow Wood Partners for US$1 billion. The transaction, which includes seven brands, remains subject to regulatory approval, with completion expected in the first half of 2027.

Despite foreign exchange pressures, portfolio changes and operational challenges in Russia, Nestlé maintained its 2026 outlook. The company expects organic sales growth of three to four per cent, an improved underlying trading operating profit margin and free cash flow exceeding nine billion Swiss francs.
