Integral reels out advertising opportunities for brands ahead of 2021/2022 EPL Season

Integral Sponsorship and Experiential Marketing Limited, the exclusive sub-licensee for Africa’s Free-to-Air (FTA) media rights of the English Premier League (EPL) in Nigeria, has called on advertising agencies, companies and brands to utilize and leverage the endless opportunities available on its platform to reach out to their numerous and loyal customers during the upcoming 2021/2022 EPL season.
The leading sports marketing company made the charge during a virtual presentation by its MD, Abimbola Ilo, titled: “Free-to-air (FTA) Broadcast and LED advertising opportunities in Nigeria”. While calling for partnership from brands,during the presentation, Ilo re-affirmed the fact that, the premier league is the most watched sporting league in the world with a total of 3.16 billion viewers, explained that the viewership reach of the game has numerous benefits for brands in Nigeria.
Explaining the exclusive LED right portfolio, he said, “Integral is a sports marketing and management company that works across the whole value chain in sports business. We have access to the exclusive LED right holder across United Kingdom football with 85% of available LED advertising space. Our portfolio of club LED rights offers unrivaled scalability options to up-to 209 matches in the EPL or 85% of available media space Premier League matches.”
According to him, “Brands can use the opportunity to feature their adverts on multiple channels such as static banner, scroll-bar messages, TV host and studio branding, logo on screen, banner on screen, squeeze back and other additional sponsorship inventories.”
He advised brands to embrace the various media platforms in order to leverage the emotion and excitement through advertising messages featured in matches, across one of the most popular sporting events in the world to reach millions of fans. The MD further noted that, LED perimeter advertising is a unique platform enabling brands to be inside the game, across camera-facing displays, reaching millions of fans on match broadcasts, highlight shows, and live streaming and social media.
Additionally, he explained that one single media investment has the ability to provide multi-market visibility, across multiple devices such as TV, mobile, tablets, social media and with the ability to communicate animated messaging that is easily changeable and requires very little production time or budget.
According to the statistics of the review of TV viewership and TV stations watched in the past 7 days, the experiential marketer revealed that, there is an increase in digital devices but the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), with its nationwide presence, top the list with the highest viewership, and therefore, has been chosen to be the national terrestrial broadcaster to transmit live broadcast of the matches.
The English Premier League(EPL) is widely followed by football followers and enthusiasts in Nigeria. The 2021/2022 season kicks off on August, 14, 2021.
