Rack Centre Wins Beacon of ICT Awards
Africa’s premium carrier neutral data centre, Rack Centre, has emerged winner of the annual Beacon of ICT awards. The company clinched the annual awards for the third consecutive year.
For the third year running it is the winner of the ‘IT Infrastructure Provider of the Year (Data Centre)’ category, and the second year running, winner of the ‘ICT Infrastructure Provider of the Year’.
Mr. Ayotunde Coker, Managing Director, Rack Centre in 2016 won the ICT Personality of the Year and delivered the year’s Distinguished Lecture on the subject “Data Centre as Kiln of Industrialisation and Transformation”.
The Beacon of ICT award recognises organisations and individuals’ contributions to the development of ICT in Nigeria at an annual event organised by Nigeria’s Communications Week, the country’s leading and respected information and communication technology news medium.
Communications Week said the vote for Rack Centre was a testament to its “talents, innovations, contributions and commitment to the growth of ICT not only in Nigeria but in Africa and a demonstration of the recognition of hard work, sincerity and dedication towards the development of Data Centre industry and ICT infrastructure in Africa”.
