In collaboration with Ogilvy South Africa on an interactive NFT treasure hunt, Volkswagen South Africa has driven into the Metaverse.
This new ad is intended to promote their newest Polo model, the IQ.DRIVE. The car is also equipped with the most modern and cutting-edge safety/intelligence systems currently accessible.
The event launch is aimed at South African audiences. This interactive experience is Volkswagen South Africa’s first venture into this new business. In addition, three of the NFTs are Golden and come with additional benefits.
Bridget Harpur, director of marketing for Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles, stated: “We’re pretty delighted with this gamified and interactive campaign.” It had a huge influence on consumers, propelling Volkswagen and its audience into a new era. It’s not only enjoyable to see, but also to play. It’s also a great example of how participation and fun intersect.”
Executive creative director, Camilla Clerke, from Ogilvy South Africa, added: “In the age of “skip ad” and adblockers, this innovative campaign has inspired thousands of consumers to not only watch our advertising, but to engage with it frame by frame by frame, for 5 consecutive days. Whilst also turning their social feeds into free ad space for the new Volkswagen Polo, as they shared screenshots of the campaign.”
Finally, Volkswagen’s massive NFT marketing campaign indicates the Metaverse’s and NFTs’ appeal. Large organizations are implementing technology into every aspect of their operations. Last week, Starbucks announced that it would join the NFT market this year.
Recall that Coca-Cola also joined hundreds of brands to launch into Metaverse recently by unveiling its first-ever ‘Zero Sugar Byte’ and Starlight in Metaverse.
