President BAT re-appoints Dr. Lekan Fadolapo as DG/CEO Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed the re-appointment of Lekan Fadolapo as the Director-General/CEO of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

In a recent announcement of key appointments, President Tinubu retained Mr. Lekan Fadolapo as the leader of ARCON, showcasing confidence in Fadolapo’s ability to continue to lead the organization effectively. Fadolapo’s journey to his current role began in 2020 when he was appointed as the Registrar/CEO of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) under the Buhari administration.

Under the renewed leadership of Dr. Lekan Fadolapo, ARCON is expected to further its mission and continue regulating and fostering excellence within the advertising industry.

President Tinubu also made several other appointments that will shape the future of various government institutions. These include the appointment of Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu as the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) and the retention of Mr. Salihu Dembo as the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

Dr. Muhammed Bulama has been named as the new Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), succeeding Dr. Mansir Liman. Mr. Charles Ebuebu takes over the role of Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) from Balarabe Illelah.

Mr. Jibrin Ndace is now the Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), replacing Osita Okechukwu. In addition, Mr. Ali Ali is the new Director-General of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), and Mr. Dili Ezughah will serve as the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Press Council.

The President has called upon these newly entrusted leaders to innovate and generate fresh opportunities for Nigerians. The goal is to enhance the effective functioning of these key government institutions, which have a mission to unify the nation, shape mindsets, and showcase Nigeria to the world.
