Nigerian Breweries launches Desperados, tequila-flavoured beer
Nigerian Breweries Plc has launched Tequila flavored beer, Desperados, into the Nigeria market with an exclusive party held at EbonyLife Place, Victoria Island, Lagos.
According to the company, Desperado was brewed in France and is owned by Heineken Inc. The launch was attended by partygoers who relished the sweet contrasting taste of fiery tequila and icy beer in one bottle.
Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Emmanuel Orikahi, while commenting during the launch of the brand, said: “What better time than the festive period to launch our brand that embodies the upbeat season and is full of life? Desperados is the best authentic drink to get the party started with your tribe. As a brand, we are looking to build a community of young Nigerians who are spontaneous, driven by great taste and ready to experiment.”
Desperados is a tequila-flavoured pale lager beer with 5.9% alcohol by volume originally created and produced by the French brewing company Fischer Brewery, now produced by Heineken in the Karlovačko Brewery. The beer is now sold in over fifty countries.
