NCC warns Jobseekers to be beware of fake recruitment exercise
The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) has warned the general public, particularly jobseekers, to be wary and vigilant to avoid being victims to the ploys of fraudsters and scammers who are circulating false recruitment notices which is being circulated on online media soliciting applications. The NCC said it is neither recruiting directly nor by proxy for any position.
The Commission issued the warning which was signed by its Director of Public Affairs, Dr Ikechukwu Adinde.
The NCC recently alerted the public to a cloned Facebook account purported to be that of the commission, opened by unidentified individuals, ostensibly to deceive and defraud unsuspecting members of the public, some of whom may have inadvertently signed on to the fake Facebook account.
The statement from the NCC reads, “The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) would like to draw the attention of the general public to the false advertisements being circulated online soliciting applications for a purported recruitment exercise by the Commission for 2021/2022.
