Meet MARKETING EDGE panelist @ IMC Quarterly Virtual Summit – Aare Fatai Odesile

‏Managing Director/CEO, Float Distilleries Limited, Aare Fatai Odesile is a marketing guru who has contributed over two decades of uncompromising professionalism to Nigeria’s integrated marketing communications industry.

As a passionate marketing leader, Odesile’s vast experiences cuts across Marketing, Sales, Strategy Development, Research, Customer Insight, Product Development and Quality assurance.

Amongst a myriad of meritorious services, Aare Fatai Odesile served the Lexcel Group in notable capacities including being the pioneer Marketing Manager of Nigeria Distilleries, and Marketing Director of Grand Oak Limited before assuming the position of the Managing Director of Grand Oak Limited. As MD/CEO of Grand Oak Nigeria Limited, Odesile led the company through the worst economic recession Nigeria had ever recorded before he retired in 2017. His 27 years of laudable service at Nigeria Distilleries Limited and Grand Oak Limited was also instrumental to the growth and transformation of both companies.

His intense passion for leadership, strategic organisational restructuring and business development was recognized when he was named “Best Manager of the Year” for three years consecutively in 2004, 2005 and 2006. In 2018, he was nominated for the “Lagos State Man of the Year” Award.

Aare Odesile has also held notable positions in the marketing communication industry which includes Past President of Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN); Past Council Member, Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON); Past Council Member, Advertising Sectoral Group (HASG); Council Member, the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, a Trustee of the Distillers and Blenders Sub Group of MAN; Current Executive Council Member of Committee of Chief Executive of Association of Food Beverage and Tobacco Employers (AFBTE); and Council Member of Nigerian Employer Consultative Association (NECA).

Aare Odesile is also an Alumnus of the University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, London Cranfield School of Management UK, The Wits business school South Africa, Management Centre Brussels, Cranfield School of Management, Business School Netherlands, Philips Consulting Johannesburg, and a fellow of National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN).
