Rotimi Bankole, CEO, SBI Media, has reaffirmed the vital role MARKETING EDGE Magazine is playing in the integrated marketing communication (IMC) business in Nigeria.

He made this known in an exclusive interview with MARKETING EDGE, at the just concluded event organized by MARKETING EDGE held to celebrate the industry leaders for effort over the years.

Bankole said: “There is no doubt that MARKETING EDGE has become the publication of record for advertising, public relations and the entire marketing and communication sector in Nigeria. Every industry needs a curator of knowledge and MARKETING EDGE is doing exceptional work in recording and advertising thought in our industry.”

The MARKETING EDGE Hall of Fame was birthed to recognize and appreciate the contributions of the great men and women, with their names written in gold for many years to come.

Commenting on his induction into the MARKETING EDGE Hall of Fame, the elated media boss said he was honored to be celebrated alongside the fathers of advertising practice in Nigeria.

His words: “Considering that I’m only forty-one and my company SBI Media has been operational for only nine years, I consider myself absolutely fortunate to be named among torchbearers of the marketing and communication industry. I owe this massive recognition to the board, management, and teams at SBI and Streams Media because without them, all the accomplishments for which we are being celebrated today wouldn’t have materialized.”

The MARKETING EDGE Hall of Fame Maiden edition featured categories which include: Brand Experience Torch Bearer category, PR Torch Bearer category, Advertising Torch Bearer category, Media Pacesetter, Advertising Pathfinder, Media Pathfinder, PR Pathfinder, Corporate Pacesetter, Father of Modern Brand and Marketing, Father of Modern Advertising.
