MARKETING EDGE, Nigeria’s foremost marketing, advertising and brand intelligence publication, has appointed Amos Oladele as its new Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief following the demise of its late Founder, Publisher/CEO, John Ajayi, who passed on December 10, 2025.

The appointment, which was recently announced, takes immediate effect and marks a significant continuity step for the organisation at a defining moment in its corporate journey.

Oladele brings to the role an exceptional blend of academic depth and extensive industry experience spanning over three decades in the Nigerian media landscape. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (BA Ed), a Postgraduate Diploma, and a Master’s degree in Mass Communication, all obtained from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Professionally, Oladele has built a distinguished career across some of Nigeria’s most influential media organisations. His journey cuts across The Punch, Third Eye Communications, National Concord, The Comet, Vanguard Newspapers, and TELL Magazine, where he steadily rose through the ranks and honed his expertise in journalism, editorial leadership and media management.

He joined MARKETING EDGE in 2015 and has since played a pivotal role in shaping the publication’s editorial direction, operational growth and industry relevance.
Until his latest appointment, he served as General Editor and Group Chief Operating Officer, at which positions which he contributed significantly to sustaining the brand’s leadership within Nigeria’s Integrated Marketing Communications ecosystem.

With his elevation to
Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, the media expert will now oversee the organisation’s strategic direction, editorial integrity, business operations, stakeholder engagement and long-term growth agenda, ensuring the preservation and advancement of the legacy built by its late founder.
