Jenkins Alumona receives APCON medallion as Fellow
As a mark of honour for his professionalism and dedication to the marketing communications space, veteran journalist and seasoned marketer, Jenkins Alumona, has received the much coveted APCON medallion as a Fellow at the just concluded induction ceremony organized by the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
During the well-attended event, the newly excited Fellow simply said: “Thank you APCON for making me a Fellow of the advertising profession. Great way to start the year.”
Jenkins Alumona is an ace journalist and an experienced chief executive officer with a demonstrated history of working in the marketing and advertising industry. He is skilled in Negotiation, Business Planning, Integrated Marketing, Media Relations, and Sponsorship. He is also a strong business development professional with an OPM focused in Business Administration and Management.
Jenkins is the C.E.O of Strategic Outcomes Ltd, where he is building a company with interests in different areas of the marketing communication industry. He is currently the Vice President, Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN).
The leading marketer was Head, Sponsored Asset, with Pan Nigeria leading network, Globacom, where he managed Globacom’s several sponsorship platforms for three years.
He was manager, events and sponsorships, with Celtel Nigeria, which has today, become Airtel Nigeria, where he managed nationwide media launch of the network within duration of one year with Celtel. Before then, Mr. Alumona had worn a double hat as both the events, sponsorships and marketing PR Manager with Celtel Nigeria, designing and executing from scratch the companies below the line market penetration strategy, a role he played for one year as well.
The sports marketer was previously the Senior Accounts Director, with the Quadrant Company, managing PR for many blue chip brands including Pepsi, Smith Kline Becham, Econet Wireless, Benson and Hedges, Star within his three years dedicated service.
The agency boss studied BBTT, Executive Education From the renowned Harvard Business School, before attaining another educational height in OPM Business Administration and Management General, from the same Harvard Business School. He is a proud Fellow of the Bucerius Summer School, where he majored in global governance.
