Chain Reactions has finally grabbed the multi-million naira Public Relation’s account of Etisalat Nigeria after a competitive, high-fever pitches involving no fewer than five top rated public relations agencies in the country.
The account, which was formerly managed by The Quadrant Company for three and a half years under the leadership of Mr. Bolaji Okusaga would now feel the expertise of Chain Reactions Nigeria led by Mr. Israel Jaiye Opayemi
Having beaten the likes of XLR8, MediaCraft, C&F, Potter Novelli and then incumbent The Quadrant, all dexterous hands, Chain Reactions would not have excuse not to perform.
Reacting to the success, the Chief Strategist of Chain Reactions, who is also the Publicity Secretary of Public Relations Consultancy Association, Mr. Israel Jaiye Opayemi said the victory was a big win for the company and a brand new opportunity for the young agency to showcase its skills and competence in the perception management business
The visibly excited public relations expert told Marketing Edge that winning the account would elevate the public relations practice more as he promised to give his best to Etisalat and the public.
He said, “We are proud to be associated with an innovative brand like Etisalat. Our priority with the client is to hit the ground running, support the brand’s business objectives with innovative PR ideas. We are humbled by the decision of Etisalat to work with us. It is a statement of confidence that will keep us on our toes and a confidence, which we will not betray for a day.”
Chain Reaction was part and parcel of the success of the immediate past administration of Lagos State Government led by the former Governor Babatunde Fashola.
Jaiye and of course Chain Reaction would be bringing his experience as an astute perception manager in managing Etisalat Brand.
Commenting, the Cheif Executive of The Quadrant, Mr. Okusaga congratulated the winner, Chain Reaction, Mr. Opayemi, adding that he was proud to have nurtured Etisalat to greatness in the last three years.
He said the loss by his agency is as a result of the freedom of the client to decide on who wins or handles its business. He pointed out that during the period the agency worked on the account, it gave its best in servicing the business.
He noted that winning and losing is part of the nature of the business and his agency has no ill feelings whatsoever in respect of the new development.
