This year, One Block Village and other Black owned media companies including Group Black, Hero Media and Cannes Can: Diversity Collective are bringing something so different, so vibrantto Cannes something that’s never been done since its inception more than 50 years ago. We’re bringing Black excellence in all it’s glory. From Inkwell Beach to Pinterest Beach at The Carlton, WPP Beach and to the Cannes Marina, these events are being organized by the culture for the culture.

Dubbed “The Culture Book,” an emerging list of Black advertising professionals will hold workshops, networking events and partiesintended to highlight the Black Ad experience, and give like-minded professionals the ability to socialize and connect with each other. Included will be a first-ever Black Yacht Party powered by the Hero Media (Black-owned agency), the Biggest Rave by Group Black, and curated conversations at the famous Inkwell Beach with some of the brightest minds in the business.

One Block Village’s founder, Peter Ukhurebor shares that it’s an historic act of sorts, and will carve out space for Black creators to have a place at Cannes for years to come.
