Basdemir succeeds Emiroglu as managing director Hayat Kimya

Subsidiary of Hayat Holding, Hayat Kimya Nigeria, Nigeria’s largest diaper manufacturer has announced Celik Basdemir as its new general manager/ managing director.
Doruk Emiroglu who has served in the capacity of general manager since 2019 announced Basdemir as his successor during the launch of the company’s new product offerings at the Balmoral event center in Lagos.
Commenting on his appointment, Basdemir said: “I want to express my great pleasure as the new managing director of Hayat Kimya Nigeria. I also want to say many special thanks to Mr. Doruk Emiroglu for his great contribution to our business as well as his great contribution to the successful management of our products to the Nigerian people. From the first day my plane landed in Lagos, my first impression was that Nigerian people are so welcoming, positive and cheerful. In short, they are great people of a great country. And they deserve the best. As Hayat Kimya, our aim is serving Nigerian people with all our high quality products produced by using advanced technologies.”
Hayat is the world’s 5th largest branded baby diaper manufacturer. The company was established in 1937 and operates in various industries including FMCG, port operations, construction, wood.
Hayat operates in the FMCG industry since 1987, manufactures goods in hygiene, tissue, home care and personal health categories offering well established brands such as Bingo, Gleen (detergents and home cleaning category), Molfix (baby diapers), Molped (feminine care category), Papia, Familia and Focus (cleansing tissue categories), Sholk (pet categories), Joly and Evony (adult diaper categories), Good Care and Evony (personal health category).
