Akin Ogunbiyi named Grand Patron of Guild of Photojournalists Nigeria

The Group Chairman of Mutual Benefits Assurance PLC, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi has been conferred the honour of Grand Patron of the Guild of Photojournalists of Nigeria in recognition of his sterling leadership qualities and immense contribution to the association and development of the country.
Speaking during the investiture ceremony held at the Mutual Benefits Assurance office in Lagos, the President of the Guild of Photojournalist of Nigeria, Mr. Abiodun Ajala said the conferment is to express profound appreciation for the immeasurable support of Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi to the association and for his noteworthy contributions to the growth and development of the country.
The president who extolled the erudite philanthropist affirmed that diligence, humility, hardwork and empathy have endeared him to many, especially those who are beneficiaries of his gesture.
He said: “Members of the Guild of Photojournalists Nigeria are proud and grateful for the honour and unique favours accorded us by the executive leadership at Mutual Benefits Assurance PLC. It’s highly inspiring the dedication and positive energy with which you have groomed Mutual Benefits Assurance PLC into an enviable height as reflected in the organizational structure.”

Elated, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi pledged his unwavering support to the association while noting that they have been instrumental to his favourable brand positioning. The Chairman noted that he is committed to the growth and development of the country.

Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi is the Group Chairman of Mutual Benefits Assurance PLC, a Conglomerate of nine subsidiaries and over 5,000 employees. A philanthropist and God-fearing technocrat.
He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London and a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Directors; Fellow West Africa Insurance Institute, Banjul, Gambia and also a Fellow of the Risk Managers Society of Nigeria.
Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi is one of the Osun State governorship aspirants under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
