New York Festivals Advertising Awards opens for entries with new specialty awards
New York Festivals International Advertising Awards has opened entries for its 2021 competition with two new specialty awards; the Signal award and the Pivot Award. NYF’s creative partnership with Senior Advisor to WPP, David Sable will also continue through 2021’s competition.
The Advertising Awards honors advertising excellence through 19 competitions in all media from over 80 countries and represents the full spectrum of advertising communications around the world and judged by over 400 members of NYF’s Executive Jury and Grand Jury who collectively cast their votes to select the World’s Best Advertising
The Signal Award was launched to honor campaigns produced in 2020 amidst the noise and unprecedented issues of the year. The Pivot Award seeks to honor works that demonstrate the most challenging, effective, creative PIVOT of a pre-pandemic plan to a new creative plan that bravely delivered ROI in the year 2020.
Speaking on the launch of the new specialty awards in 2020, Scott Rose—Executive Director, New York Festivals Advertising Awards explained: “As always NYF is about celebrating the work. Our goal is to provide categories that reflect the evolving industry trends and honor break-through creative work emanating from around the globe. The work created this year illustrates empathy, imagination, and intelligent execution under unique circumstances. We believe this new work merited specialty awards designed to reflect the challenges of the year and showcase their excellence.”
The New York Festivals updated its diverse category roster to honor creative work within new categories including Craft, Health and Wellness, and Financial Advertising. The new categories will provide opportunities to showcase the global works created within the industry.
The 2021 Executive Jury, an elite panel of Chief Creative Officers, and the Film Craft Executive Jury will convene in June to choose the winners from the Finalist entries selected by the international online Grand Jury. Financial entries will be judged by a prominent international Financial Executive Jury; deadline for entries is February 26, 2021.
