Brand Finance, a prominent brand valuation consultancy, has once again ranked Access Bank as Nigeria’s most valuable brand.
Recent figures from Brand Finance reveal a notable 73% rise in Access Bank’s brand value, establishing it as Nigeria’s leading banking brand.
This is the third year in a row that Access Bank has maintained its number one position in Brand Finance’s yearly ranking of the top 500 banking brands globally.
In a statement on Sunday, Roosevelt Ogbonna, CEO of Access Bank, expressed pride in the achievement and affirmed the bank’s commitment to providing exceptional value.
“We are proud to, once again, be recognised as Nigeria’s most valuable brand. This accolade is a testament to our commitment to excellence, innovation and sustainable growth.
“We will continue to focus on delivering exceptional value to our customers and stakeholders, driving positive impact across the communities we serve,” he said.
The 2024 Brand Finance Report revealed a 73% increase in Access Bank’s brand value. This surge confirmed Access Bank as Nigeria’s leading banking brand.
This year marks the third straight year Access Bank has topped Brand Finance’s annual list of the world’s top 500 banking brands.
Brand Finance noted that Access Bank’s brand value reached N355.3 billion, ranking it as Africa’s 31st most valuable brand. The growth was largely due to significant increases in interest-based income, indicating higher revenues and strong financial performance.
The report also highlighted that banking brands make up 50% of the total brand value among Nigeria’s top 25 brands.
Within this group, banking brands were identified as the most valuable, strongest, and fastest-growing. Brand values were determined using the Royalty Relief approach, in compliance with ISO 10668 Standards.
