MarketingWeek in conjunction with Salesforce is set to hold an exclusive webinar with the theme: “How brands can control their data destiny”. The virtual event is slated to be held today at 3pm BST via Zoom.

According to the mail sent by the organisers, it stated that brands will have to re-think how they measure digital success across websites and apps as third-thirty cookies are facing out.

The mail reads: “Brands will soon have to re-think how they measure digital success across websites and apps as third-party cookies and other tracking mechanisms are phased out.”

“How marketers create personalised advertising and experiences throughout the consumer journey will need to rely much more on brands’ own data that it has before.”

Marketers will need to balance their advertising investments in the targeting rich ‘walled garden’ environments, but without developing an over-reliance on a handful of media partners. And they’ll need to grow and connect their first party data of customers and prospects alike, while respecting consent, privacy and trust.

The webinar will answer these three questions: How much do marketers really need to understand about the technological and market shifts under way in digital measurement?

Should they push even more spend towards walled gardens, or come up with alternative strategies to ensure they’re present across a diverse range of media?

How can brands’ own first-party data help them understand their customers better – and what do they need to make it useful for acquisition and retention?

According to the team senior marketer are invited to speak at the webinar to debate the way forward for brands, the speakers are: Jonathan Beeston, Product Marketing Director EMEA, Marketing Cloud, Salesforce, Matt Stockbridge, Market Data and Insights Manager, Innocent Drinks and Russell Parsons, the Editor in chief MarketingWeek and Festival of Marketing.
