Diageo, global beverage brand, is set to hold its world-class bartender competition, a prestigious cocktail competition, from 5 to 8 of July, 2021.

The competition could see bartenders in-person; if not, partially or fully virtual, as the format is yet to be decided due to the pandemic.

“The final decision on which format we’ll adopt for the World Class Finals 2021 will be decided early in the new year, based on the global situation. Whatever the scenario, we will create something special and we will showcase and celebrate the very best of cocktail culture and the bartenders who make it happen,” Earley assured.

With the finale set to hold in Madrid, Spain, an interactive virtual masterclass will be organised on 21 December to expose bartenders and give them inspiration.

Starting from the first day of 2021, Diageo Bar Academy portal will the open for submissions for all categories for challenges.

The 2022 finals will be held in Sydney, Australia; where it could not hold this year due to coronavirus pandemic.
